A hot, dry dust day marked round seven of the J Day Offroad series in Connecticut…

It was a hot, dry, dusty day at the inaugural STS Motorsports Freedom GP, but the Plainfield Connecticut location was a breath of fresh air to say the least.

The Ridge View venue is an active Sod farm with endless acres of pristine grass, rolling along the property. It’s not everyday dirt bikes and golf courses mix but yesterday was a special exception indeed.

The track was not quite as immaculate as the parking areas.  Steep elevation, technical off cambers, mixed with the June drought, made for some tough conditions.  Not to mention, the clear skies and summer heat were major factors for the racer
