More Power or Better Suspension?

If you have been riding as long as most of the readers of this website you recognize that better suspension is usually the correct ansewer to going faster. Better suspension also usually means fewer unintended impacts with the ground. Modern suspensions have become spectacularly good, however, they have also become far more complex. These days it is pretty easy to get more power out of your engine, sometimes all it takes is a pipe but dialing in your suspension can be a lot more time consuming and complicated. You can spend months, even years trying to set up your suspension properly but never get it right. Many riders waste valuable riding time messing with all the clicker combinations their friends tell them to try. They usually end up looking for a suspension shop to bail them out. This can be both costly and time consuming. A solution is to find an honest, knowledgeable, experienced suspension expert that is willing to listen to what you want. If you are really fortunate you find someone that is close and will meet you at your local track for adjustments. There is nothing quite like having your bike set up just for you. Your riding will be a lot more fun. Weather you are a trail rider or a racer a good suspension guy is priceless!
If you live in northern CA or are coming thru this area you are in luck. Buck Gerolamy runs Suspension By Buck in Sacramento, CA. He has been learning and practicing his trade for 15+ years. Buck is very familiar with the local tracks having ridden on them many times in his career. Nothing short of works suspension beats personal suspension service to really dial in your ride.

I’ve known Bucky for a few years now but until recently never really gave any thought about trying out his work. I’ve used Factory Connection for years, but I had him revalve the forks on a 450 Honda I had and when I bought the 250FX I decided to give him a chance at setting it up. One of the reasons was he was local it was obvious he cared about getting it right and had a good grasp of what I wanted. The 250FX came out great and I just had him revalve my KTM 450SX and it turned out equally as well.
#33 has used him for years and kept telling me I should try him, I should have listened a long time ago.

I thought my Yamaha SSS suspension was really good. Boy, was I wrong! I had Buck work on the forks and the shock. We met at the track and he made a couple of quick adjustments. Now things work much smoother and the bike handles better. I highly recommend SBB for their quality work.

My name is Cj Crandall most of the vet guys on here won't know me I am an upcoming Offroad racer. At 20 years old I have ridden plenty of bikes with many different suspension companies forks and shocks. However I know for a fact that there is no one that will work with you and make sure your bike is 100% the way you like it. There is companies out there that will tell you, you are wrong you don't know bike set up most of the time these are just shop technicians, not racers and riders. Bucky races and rides and will personally watch you to make sure you are getting the best out of your equipment. I personally have been using Buck for over 10 years and as my go to suspension guru, he is the man! The ability he has to make bikes works so well in all forms of racing is awesome. Whether you own a bike for every form of riding or you own 1 bike and ride everything Suspension by Buck is the person you need to seek for all your racing and riding needs.
